COMMUNICATING WITH PARENTS

The staff of Evangelistic Temple School believe it is very important for school and home to work together. In order to promote effective communication and understanding, parents are asked to take note of the following information:

• Teachers will use letters, phone calls, and e-mail to communicate with the parents concerning their students. Formal parent-teacher conferences are scheduled during the first and third quarters.

• Parents can check their student’s progress from any location via the web. The Renweb program is a unique parents’ web service that allows ETS to share lesson plans, homework, and grades.  Renweb provides individual password protection.

• It is important for the parent to schedule additional conferences with a teacher whenever a need or concern is evident. Concerns need to be shared first between the parent and teacher. Many needs can be met through a simple conference between parent and teacher. However, parents should not feel limited to the personal conference. The principal is interested in all areas concerning students
